Synopsis: Saint to Sinner (working title)
The Saint
When shop owner Lilah St. George's boyfriend dumps her, his parting words really mess with her self-confidence. She's not a cold fish, is she? With the help of her friends and an anonymous fantasy-sharing website, she sets out on a voyage of sensual discovery.
The Sinner
Little does she realize that someone other than her friends knows her fantasy identity. Chef Marcello Vetrinelli has been lusting after Lilah for years. Now he has an advantage he'd be crazy not to use. But will knowing Lilah's secrets do more harm than good when Marcello decides he wants to play for keeps?
Excerpt: Saint to Sinner (working title)
Chapter One
“It’s not me, it’s you.”
Lilah St. George shook her head, not believing her ears. Surely Mitchell hadn’t meant to say what he just said. “Pardon me?” She put her fork down, thoroughly distracted from the delicious meal she had only just begun to enjoy when those words raided her food-blissed brain.
“It’s not me, it’s you,” her apparently now-ex-boyfriend repeated. The patrician lines of his face and his sun-god good looks were drawing appreciative stares from other women in the restaurant, and judging by the look on his face, Mitch knew it too. The rat bastard, Lilah thought to herself, he’s already trolling for his next piece of arm candy.
She raised a delicate brow. “Surely you meant that the other way around?”
Mitch didn’t even have the grace to look chagrined as he leaned back in his chair and said expansively -- smugly, Lilah thought with not a little resentment -- “No, it really is you, babe.”
