Synopsis: working title: The Dwarf Saga

Kara Firth, a young dwarf, is sworn to a secret mission after her mountain city is destroyed by Kohrien assassins. Alone, wounded and weaponless, she must seek out the legendary Valemen and deliver into their hands a mysterious, ancient key - a treasure kept hidden by her people for centuries. What the key will unlock is unknown to her, yet as her journey continues, those who sent the Kohrien make it clear that possession of the key is worth the death of any who stand in the way. Dwarves are not the only people who will suffer if she fails in her task.
