Synopsis: Cellardoor

Damien, a young man born into anarchy but finds sophistication in an unlikely place - far beneath ground in the post-apocalyptic city of Chicago. This place is Cellardoor, and after luck and literacy grant him access to it, he finds himself infatuated with it, and its books. However, a grave mistake on his part tosses him back into the streets with a princely companion, Nathaniel, and their uncouth guide, the young woman, Lee, in the search of Damien's first and best friend, Michael. There they meet The Revolution, the educated aboveground group determined to overthrow Cellardoor for its bigotry. Damien finds the group to be easier to relate to, without their forced courtesies but lacking the arbitrary violence of the aboveground gangs. The misfortune is that nothing is ever as it seems, and Damien must make a choice between which is the greater good, and which is the worse evil, for neither are truly one or another.
