Dear Ms. Skeeter,
I do not see you interest in hearing my story. I am an old woman now, who sadly finds her memory failing her, but I guess that is to be expected since I recently turned one hundred seventeen. The wafflings of a dowager such as myself can be of no real interest to anyone as far as I can see, though your persistence says otherwise. I can only assume that you are really interested in my dearly departed husband. If you are prepared to be bored for several hours I will, however reluctantly, tell you the tale of our courtship, marriage, and his untimely demise. I would also like to warn you that if you are viviparous as your grandmother was, may Merlin rest her soul; you shall be shown the door post haste. I am available next Saturday at around three.
