Brief Author Bio:

Midnight here. My hobbies can be seen in Non-Novelling Interests, but that's only part of the long list of things I love. Things like rock-wall climbing and flying foxes; fantasy, dark and magic; nature and wildlife, especially wolves.

As you can guess, I'm a fantasy author. I'm planning to write a trilogy entitled "The Silence Trilogy", and this year's NaNo will be my first novel in the series. Unfortunately, being in Year 11 and doing 6 TEE subjects, I have exams in the last two weeks of November. Hopefully, I'll find revision more boring than writing, and write instead. At this stage, it's time to start doing what I never do: STUDY!!! I need those exam marks to pull up my school grades, because of some stupid blunders I have made.
A year's gone by, and I'm in Year 12 now, with major exams in November. Considering since I intend to go to the best Uni in the state, I need that study time. Fortunately for me (or not, depending how you see it), I finish my exams in the first week and a half, meaning I get the rest of November to write. I did it last year, I'll do it again :)

The purpose of doing NaNo is to get me started. Without it, I'll never ever get past the first chapter. If there's no deadline, there's no motivation. That's the way I work. Problem is, I have always been something of a perfectionist. Hitting that 50K target is going to be torture. Forcing myself to keep going and not edit anything is harder than actually starting. Here's hoping NaNo will be able to get me over that obstacle.

Well, wish us all luck.

Synopsis: Dream Walker

Born with The Sign, saved from death only by a phenomenon, Shira has now been rejected by civilisation. On the run, and hunted by the kingdom's best knights and the High Lord's most loyal men, it is now a desperate race through a maze shrouded in mystery and magic. There is only one exit, and Shira must find it and prevent the disaster she is to learn the day of her coming of age will bring. The price of failure? The end of the world as she knows it. Life will still go on, but sometimes existence is worse than death.
