Synopsis: Invented Wings

Fourteen year old Bernie loves her home; a golden city, refuge of scientists and inventors from a Europe in the throes of a fundamentalist backlash. But someone is trying to destroy it, and when Bernie meets Kura she begins to realise that all is not as perfect as it seems. As the love between the two girls deepens, they find themselves out of their depth in a growing rebellion.
