Synopsis: <Untitled>
The empires of Vahn Sprign and Hakem Ilasm have been at war for many years, each with a strong king at the helm. The battle lasted with no side seeming to gain ground on the other, although, when the king of Hakem Ilasm, King Malik was slain in the Battle of Graelon Plains, it seemed as if the tide had turned in favour of Vahn Sprign.
However, when King Malik's son, Prince Abdulah, stepped up to take over the throne, he took a way to destroy the offensive of the other side, one that many called a coward's way out. The new King sent his entire army, the full force of their country, and sent them to fight at the Graelon Plains, but only as a distraction. While they were fighting, King Abdulah got behind their defences, and shot an arrow into the throat of the Old King, the king of Vahn Sprign.
He returned home to fanfare and applause; Hakem Ilasm had won the war! After the Old King died, they were unprepared to continue war. However, for every person Abdulah saw cheering, he saw another one calling him a coward. The words got to him, and he fell into a sort of depression.
Five years later, Abdulah had made up his mind. He left in the middle of the night and made his way to the kingdom of Vahn Sprign, and turned himself in. That was six years ago. Six years since he left his beloved, Nadia. Six years of pain and agony in the dark underside of the now beautiful, flourishing kingdom. Now, he wants freedom.
For Nadia, it's been six years spent trying to get over her husband's sudden leave. Six years of not physical pain, but pain of the heart. She wants to see Abdulah again, even just once, but she's long since given up on that, and is now trying to move on.
This story follows the story of Abdulah and Nadia, and their quest to meet again. Through unwilling marriage, warfare, and questionable choices, will they be able to build up a life that makes them as happy as their old ones did?
