Brief Author Bio:

I'm a 20-Year-Old gamer, mother, and wife who loves to write. With an over-active imagination, it's hard for me not to write as I spend whole days just lost within my mind. Each new thought is another adventure that I have to get to paper to explore more. I've created whole worlds, races, languages and more just on the whim of a random thought.

Synopsis: The Flame Reliquary

Aidhàn d’Lornescar was definitely not your typical Emberian. At nineteen years of age, he’s never once even tasted magic. Born in the Lorne Scar of Emberian IV, he grew up an anomaly to his people, a person who was what they referred to as a “Magical Mute.” He could no more sense magic than he could wield it, even through the eventual implants his parents got him in hopes of making him fit in more.

It just seemed to be a hopeless birth defect until the death of his mother brings him to discovering a journal entry of hers that brought everything into focus. She’d had an affair when he was conceived and knowing whom it belonged to, she’d covered it up by a powerful ritual to bind his powers that might manifest. Having thought hope was lost with both parents dead, he now wondered if his biological father still resided out there in the world.

At the same time, Xukyns have found their planet, ravaging their people and the ruling host of Dragonkin in hopes of finding an artifact known as The Flame Reliquary. Though an impartial party, his search for his father drags him deep into this war and leads him to uncovering truths that he never in his life could have imagined.

Excerpt: The Flame Reliquary

They'd fought before, but this felt so different. They'd fought over what to have for snacks, games they'd play, who beat who in a race...but never once before had he felt so much like he needed to hurt her. Not physically, but emotionally. Never before had it hit such a personal place inside him.

“You're not going to use my journey to find my Dad as an escape to do what you want and finally off yourself! I will not go back to your parent's and tell them the news of your passing. That will not be my burden to bear.”

“At least I've got parents to miss me.”

That eruption of anger she thought she'd get from him didn't happen. Instead, she watched as that abnormally white aura of his returned to normal, and his face turned stoic. Instantly...she wanted to take the words back. “Leave.”

He turned to head back to the inn. “Aidhàn, I--”

“Leave!” He said again, not turning around to look at her. “I don't want you here anymore. Go home, go sleep with your new magic friend, I don't care. I just don't want you here.”

She stared at the back of his head for several agonizing seconds, tears welling in her eyes. The last thing Aidhàn heard was the gentle sound of her boots as they padded the pavement away from him.
