Synopsis: Empire of Steam and Steel

The Empire of Baritonia is locked in a bitter and grueling five year war with her main rival, the Rasnun Empire. Some are even calling it the "Second Great War" as the steam-powered arms race mirrors that of the first. Baritonia is stretched thin trying to protect all of its colonies spread out over vast distances and separated by endless swaths of sea. It is during the fifth year of this war that Gordon Northbrook, a young nobleman, is called to Baritonia's capitol and learns that his father, the Sixth Earl Northbrook and Lord Viceroy of Andala, has been murdered. Just before he died he sent a letter to Gordon, an enigmatic letter that Baritonia's ruthless Queen Alexandria will do anything to get her hands on. Chased by the agents of the crown, Gordon must now flee to Andala - the empire's farthest colony literally on the other side of the world - to not only take his place as inheritor of the estate and titles, but also to unravel the unusual circumstances of his father's death and the meaning of the mysterious letter he wrote.
