Synopsis: Sub Rosa

Bachelor Alexander St. James has everything one could want in this life: plenty of best-selling compositions ( musical), over 1,00 patents, and quite a few government officials in his pocket. Early mornings for him are around 11:00 am, and he spends the evenings after an hour or two at the pianoforte, salon hopping with the other eligible, strong minded individuals. He thought he knew how to deal with strong-minded women, at least until he met a Miss Gwin Taylor.

A rather striking young lady, she rudely awakes him in the 'wee' hours of the morning - 9:01 exactly, with an unusual business proposition: Mr. St. James will masquerade as her brother for an unknown reason and length of time, and in return she will reimburse him for any profits lost due to his absence. After darkly hinting about disgraces to reputation, she leaves the choice to St. James, and soon departs.

With that, the *epic* tale begins. Will St. James accept the offer? What is Miss Taylor up to? And is there more to this charade? Join me for the tale of Sub Rosa.

Heh.
