Synopsis: The Key of Rhadamanth
An ancient portal uncovered.
An imprisoned evil awakened.
A god betrayed.
The key is born.
In the path of an awakening evil, can Amanda overcome the very purpose of her existence to save those she has been bred to despise?
Excerpt: The Key of Rhadamanth
Amanda stood, casting them off, and raised her hand to the heavens. “By the might of Magnar,” she screamed. “Ap jyrva ginana myich!”
Blue flame burst from her body and shot out from her arm. The cloud of evil shrieked in pain as the flames touched it. With another cry to Magnar, Amanda lunged down, driving her fist deep into the ground. An explosion erupted from her chest and fire spread out from her in an ever widening circle. It scorched the cloud, burned away the mist, melted the snow. The creatures screamed in agony. Farther and farther the fire spread, igniting all around it. It touched both walls of the canyon at the same time.
The sound of a thousand things dying accompanied a thundering crack that hurt Amanda’s ears. The black wall turned into fire.
The mist evaporated, the air crackled, then everything was still and quiet.
