Excerpt: Hallows Eve Prisoners

Hallows Eve Prisoners:

Still, they moved on, until they came to a house with no decor. In the front yard, there was a tall oak tree with bright orange Autumn leaves. The grass was green and well cut, and the small sidewalk that curved towards the door seemed perfectly clean. The house itself was small and looked like a cottage from a fairy tale. The paint on the house seemed perfect and new, not a single chip or mistake in it; and the pastel colors of it seemed bright and welcoming in the dark night. The group walked on the sidewalk up to the door, and were about to ring the doorbell when a loud scream sounded from inside.

(Untitled):

"Stay for dinner." Til, the alien, pleaded. Joseph just nodded.

Like I have any other choice, I'm stuck on their planet.

He thought as the alien rambled on.

"...and we have this brilliant drink," He continued on. "it kind of tastes like-" Before Til could finish, Joseph interrupted, not so brilliantly.

"Let me guess, it tastes like chicken?" Til stared at him, looking slightly horrifed, but mostly disguised.

"No! It tastes like apple juice!"
