Brief Author Bio:

I go by Bre. I am fourteen years old and am an aspiring author, or, possibly, biologist (or professional confuse-a-catter).

I have a mother whose a doctor, a father whose a biochemist, and a brother whose a lazy procrastinator. Also, I have a dog (a Jack Russell Terrier) named Jack, who we adopted several years ago. I live a crazy life with my crazy friends and spend large amounts of time online, between handling the rest of my going ons. That's pretty much it.

Last year, I wrote 'On Wing Of Fate', a fantasy novel with tongue in cheek tendencies and funky dragons.

I've succeeded in convincing some of those crazy friends of mine to participate this year, so wish we luck in slacking off and forcing them to win!

Synopsis: Little Things Like That

In 2020, Dr. Ivan Nylund presented a study and exhibit that. for years in its wake, others tried to prove wrong. He displayed a set of a hundred individuals, most around the age of nineteen, who were capable of magic. There wasn't much of another way to say it. They had magic, in all the forms it became known to have. He spoke to the world for them, they enchanted objects, and preformed impossible feats, and they proved to the world that magic was real.

They caused a wave, as the population of those with this gift, unlocking it as education became available, grew to nearly 5% of the world, with a high concentration amongst the youth.

Two of Nylund's magicians, who became well known for their outspoken natures and strong abilities, were Anne Young, the Seer, and Joseph Norris, the Poet. They fell in love and got married.

It is 2059. Anne and Joseph Norris are dead, but much of the world mourned their tragic deaths as being too soon in their late forties, since they were two of the greatest activists for magical education and integration in the world. Also, since they left behind three children, with only distant living relatives. Not that anyone thinks that they can't take care of themselves, given the spotlight attention they've endured.

Twenty-eight year old Reuben, the Healer, is a fully qualified doctor, whose healing, soothing hands extend beyond his years of study. Tired of living in the wake of his parents' death after several years well caring for his two younger siblings, he's decided to move them all to the middle of nowhere in Aperitif, Iowa, whose magical population numbers 0 and knowledge of the political movements of the world lies somewhere around 1%.

Seventeen year old Felix, the Singer, has the voice of an angel, and the ability to twist minds with a note. He doesn't talk much about moving. He hasn't talked much outside of close friends since their parents died when he was eight. He's happy to get away from being known for his dead mother and father.

Fifteen year old Eglantine, the Dancer, otherwise known as just Lana, makes her brothers look like candles to her roaring bonfire when it comes to raw magical power and brute force. Not that her tiny stature and sweet tendencies make that obvious. It has very little to do with dancing too. She is not overly elegant or graceful.
