Synopsis: Ashes and Opals
Join Lori Beth, Robin and Mark as they journey to some of their mother’s beloved places across the globe, delivering her ashes as they go. They encounter love in its infinite variety, and face up to their individual demons and escape routes on their way to reestablishing a family of blood and a family of choice. The inward and outward journey requires honesty, authenticity, deliberate seeking of healing elements, acceptance of grief and loss, and possession only by setting something free.
Other colorful and essential characters include Lori’s husband, Hollis, and her two sons; Mark’s lover, Tristan; an estate lawyer who detests being called Salami; their mother's friends Maurice and Elaine; and an angel who makes his first appearance driving Mark to his mother’s deathbed in a New York City Yellow Cab.
