Loosely based on the manga, Skip Beat!, the story takes place in America in Los Angelos, Hollywood. How will she be able to live a life with no one to trust but the ones in her own mind?

Excerpt:

"Why, don't you believe me? Am I too dumb to think several different characters at the same time?" she asked, frowning.

"Ah, no, no, are you already in character?" he asked, confused.

"I already am, from the moment I stopped being a villain," she said with a small sniff, hurt by his words. "I don't understand how the world works, really."

She sighed, rubbing her face in thought, "There's just too much that is going on right now. Is it really true that there is no such thing as Santa Claus?" Minny asked seriously.

'Oh, of all questions, please don't answer, Mr. Andrews!' Jordan said, wincing at the thought of her spirit being broken.

Completely baffled, Mr. Andrews stammered and shook his head no, "Of course, he's real, miss. ...Ah, I am sorry, please..." he said, shaking his head.

'He actually fell for it, good job, Minny,' Crystal said with a smirk.

'What do you mean, Crystal?' she asked, her eyes tearing up and a lump rose in her throat.

"W-why are you lying to me?" she asked him, sniffing. "Is he really not real?" Minny felt her tears fall down her cheeks and wiped both away with the back of her hands. "Why is everyone always lying to me? Ripping me apart? Do no one ever think I can't handle anything?"

"M-miss, I'm sorry! You took me by surprise. You actually looked like my six year old daughter..." he said, besides with himself with not knowing what to do and completely forgetting that the whole thing was an act--in his eyes.

Minny smiled, sniffing as she tried to quell her tears. 'I can't stop the tears, Kyle!'

With a sigh, Kyle took over the body as Minny fell into the abyss and withdrew to her corner again.

"Sorry, may I do my third character?" Kyle asked, waiting for the man to recompose himself.

"Wha--oh, it was... that was impressive. Ah... yes, please prepare the next character. Please tell me when you are ready."

"I'm ready," Kyle said, withrawing while Jordan got Juliet's attention and the fool took over the body.

"Hey sir, do you know some good pranks we can do around in this building? I know just the thing to do--TP some offices!" she exclaimed, looking around in the office. "It's the thing to do when you are in love with a prankster."

'Juliet, no!' Jordan said harshly. 'No leaving the office.'

Juliet sighed, "That's right, I can't leave here. I've been grounded. My mother caught us snogging in her kitchen. Why did I do that? I've completely forgotten about my family when we did that."

She sat down, resting her chin on her hand with her elbow on her knee. "What to do? I've always loved to TP some houses. He also loved to prank call people randomly from the address book... say, can I borrow your phone, sir? I won't actually call anyone..."

'And you better not,' Jordan said, making her feelings clear through Juliet's mind.

'Of course not, one of you will be answering my phone,' she thought and everone in the safe place could feel her grin.

'...Clever...' Jordan said, looking at Kyle.

'Fine.'

"Yes..." he said, pushing the phone to her, unsure if this was unwise.

She pretended to dial and waited.

'Hello?' Kyle asked, unsure where this was going.

"Hi! I just wanted to say that it was so nice to meet you today! I mean, really, I couldn't believe how aloof you were today."

'Wha--?' Kyle asked, taken aback.

"I mean, really, couldn't you have been any nicer to me when you gave me your phone number?" Juliet asked.

'I was... I never gave anyone my--'

Juliet giggled, "You forgot about me? How terrible of you. I must really have a face that no one will remember. That is so sad."

'Hey lady, we never met, who is this?' Kyle asked, demanding to know.

"And what's worse, you were even thinking about taking me to dinner! I hate you, really do!" Juliet said with an upset face.

'....' Kyle had no clue what to say.

"You are speechless? Are you perhaps trying to remember me now?" Juliet asked, excited.

'No, I'm not, could you have the wrong phone number?'

"Oh no sir, I am quite positive someone gave me your number--meaning, yourself. You must really have a short attention span, because I recognize your voice. Does mine trigger no memories in your mind?" she asked and sighed, "I guess it will be one of those romance where our love will never be crossed by fate again. Good bye."

She hung up, grinning at Mr. Andrews' baffled face.

'Alright, my turn,' Jordan said, kicking Juliet out of her place.
