Synopsis: Devil's Game

A century spanning superhero epic. Starting in 1941 New York, a group of crime fighters styled after a radio program fights criminals who are restored to life by a resurrection amulet. Fighting undead criminals becomes an impossible task and they suffer numerous casualties. And then decades later, just when Josh Noble thought he had seen it all, his long missing brother shows up with a mystic secret of his own. Will he fall prey to the obsessions of a life of fighting crime the way his brother nearly did years ago?

“Find anything worth stealing?” asked John.
The man remained silent, and that uneasy stare just kept targeting him.
John bent to right the table but in an instant the man shot up from his sitting position, grabbed him by the throat and pinned him to the wall. John’s feet weren’t touching the ground.
“How amusing,” said the visitor. “Actually, I was hoping to find the script to the next episode of Night Devils, but from the look of things I may have chosen the wrong half of the creative team. I guess she does all the writing.”
John choked and struggle to get air into his lungs through his constricted throat.
Seeing his prey perhaps wanted to share something, the man lowered him to the floor and eased up, but kept him pinned.
“What the hell is this about?”
“Why it’s about you, Mr. Willis. You and that sweet thing you created your radio show with. What else?”
“Look, I’ve heard of crazy fans before, but you better get out of here. I’m sure the landlord has probably called the cops by now and…”
The man was shaking his head. “Sorry, Mr. Willis. I took the liberty of silencing your landlord. Probably unnecessary considering what a dive this place is. Obviously he doesn’t give a crap about his tenants. But we are straying off topic and perhaps my time is constricted by other factors.
