Synopsis: The Awakening
Fifteen-year-old Zoe Chambers feels alienated from her family.
Discovering she isn’t related to them doesn’t help.
When a group of misfits claim her as their healer, she uncovers the truth of her past as well as her destiny. There’s only one problem. Zoe's path is blocked at every turn by the Armen, who’ll stop at nothing to keep her from accepting her position in the Triad.
Zoe must overcome her own self-doubt, and, with the help of her new friends, defeat the Armen. But will she embrace the way of the Orrin? Will she accept that she is the Chosen One?

This, being the first chapter . . .
Zoe Chambers liked order. Unfortunately, the Chambers’ household was as chaotic a house as one could get. And this morning was no exception.
The first gray streaks of dawn edged into Zoe’s bedroom on the second floor of 154 Rangeley Drive, scattering all hope of finishing her dream. Try as she might, there was no continuing it--even when she squeezed her eyes shut and stuffed the pillow over her face.
