Synopsis: Blood on a broken mirror
Some people believe the city of Ingleton has a vigilante superhero taking care of it and of the masses of immigrants that huddle on the run-down historical quarter, south of the river. Others believe the Night Butterfly is a urban myth.
The children of the city (particularly those poor, abandoned, abused, homeless, or frightened) cling to pieces of broken mirrors to ensure the protection of the one they call (only in whispers and when there no adults present) Bloody Mary. Too many of them still die, pieces of broken mirrors in their pockets.
Louis and Gabriel have a job to do and very different ideas on how to do it. Roger has an obsession. Nina has a friend. Jack has his memories. Mary has a blog, a machete and something to keep the boredom at bay.
(and I have only the vaguest idea of where this is all going...)
