Brief Author Bio:

I'm a 42 year old wife to Steve and mother of three wacky and wonderful kids and two dogs. In addition to being a mom, I'm also a freelance writer and owner of Turnberry Communications, a freelance writing studio.

The family and I split our time between southern Michigan during the school year, and northern Michigan during the summer, where we own a canoe livery and fly shop on the banks of the Au Sable River.

Synopsis: Untitled

A suburban wife of a successful business owner is suddenly widowed. Her life is turned upside down. When a good friend offers her the use of her log home in northern Michigan to help her get away and find a new path, she takes her up on the offer. Desperate to fill the void her late husband left, she buys a business, a canoe livery and fly shop on the banks of the beautiful AuSable River. Soon she finds life in rural Michigan isn't what she expected. To begin with the people and the culture are completely foreign to her. Then her competition across the street, an arrogant and burly man who doesn't think a woman has what it takes to run the business, is working hard to put her out of business.

Does she have what it takes to succeed in her new life?
