Excerpt: 365 Hydrangeas of Mine

Then what is love? Tell me that and I'll make all your wishes come true, my young mafia boss.

Well, that sealed it. He was going crazy, talking to and making deals with a voice in his head but what better way to spend his time than win a bet with the voice in his head? He'd give it a shot while waiting for his two poor cousins. How could he have been so careless in his dealing with them? He seemed to have forgotten they were still children. Children that possessed an unusual amount of selflessness. Why did Khias protect Noyn? That seemed to be the key to all this, it had started when he started thinking about those two. But that was absurd, Noyn hated Khias. But Khias didn't seem to hate Noyn back, he seemed to practically revere the dirt his brother stepped on. It was ridiculous. Why would he be so dedicated to his older brother when he was treated so badly? It was on the level of loyalty his Engil Bylta held for him, perhaps more. After all, Khias had yet to snap at Noyn, to hit him, become irritated with him, Khias always seemed to put Noyn before himself, he praised only Noyn's accomplishments, never seemed to be envious of his brother and suddenly, all of Khias' actions were starting to sound like something he had once read for a punishment of sorts when his mother heard him complaining of the stupid things people did for love and how he was just as stupid so did that mean... oh. Enlightenment struck.

I see you've figured it out. Well done, you clever boy. It is a bit earlier than expected but you have won my prize. After all, it doesn't help if you only know the why, you've got to know the how as well.

Know?

You know why you want these people to be happy. You know what will make them happy, you know when they get it will be best for them, you know where you'll find it all. You just never knew how to put it all together but now... you do.

And he did. And it hurt. A lot.

The nurses around him panicked when the nineteen-year-old tipped forward in his seat, face making to have a lovely relationship with the floor. Gravity. Definitely a record-breaker for setting up relationships that ended badly.

If only he could bring himself to care.

Oh... I won't be able to see off Vai and Cici and Sitami and Sar and...
