Synopsis: Embracing Darkness
my idea for this year is based off of the characters of a role play I'm in, though the characters are being a bit tweaked and changed to my liking :D
The setting is the World of Darkness, Vampire the Requiem style with some Masquerade brought into it.
I have no idea how well this is going to work, but here I go...
Excerpt: Embracing Darkness
“Child…” My Sire said calling to me, “Here, he’s all yours.”
I faintly saw Mercy try and attack someone as I went over to my Sire. The poor mortal was withering in pain, crying out for help. Leaving him like that would be more unjust then knocking him out by taking some blood. The pain would start to leave the instant I began to feed, and yet, the thought completely disturbed me.
I didn’t have to end his life, in fact it was seen as rather disgusting to take a life when one fed and helped one to lose even more connections with morality and humanity. Though there were more than a rarity that had done that. There were more than just a few that wanted to completely sever and loose all connections with human kind. The common act, in any sense was to just feed, and leave the mortal a little clueless as to why they are so out of it the next day. The whole incident completely forgotten to them.
With only that second or two hesitation my teeth pierced the flesh and the warm life liquid filled my mouth with bliss. It was better than chocolate on a horrible day. The taste calling me to feed in till full satisfaction was met, to go past that even. But I stopped knowing well enough when enough is enough and let the body drop lifeless the few feet is was from the ground.
My attention was snapped quickly back to reality as I heard my Sire yelling at Mercy for letting one of the guards get away on accident.
