Synopsis: Scion of the Hate Breed

There's a vampire named Katya, and she was attacked by a fellow vampire who had mutated into a creature controlled only by animal instinct and a desire to kill (the hate breed). Katya was trying to stop this other vampire from killing a human, but was not successful. Her DNA is discovered at the crime scene but she convinces the forensic scientist, Sean, to somehow "lose" her blood sample, and a partnership is born. Katya and Sean work together to try and determine what is causing these mutations into the hate breed. But when Katya encounters Pyotr, a vampire born from the same sire as herself, she begins to question whether it's something or someone creating these mutations. Can Katya and Sean solve the mystery before it's too late? And just how long can Katya ignore the fact that Sean is falling for her? We'll just have to wait and see...
