Brief Author Bio:

I have yet to finish a novel I write during NaNoWriMo. Two years running, I had a nicely planned out Tolkien fanfic. I was quite proud of my plan. But the muses, not-so-much, and after several chapters of planned storytelling, they veered for off course. The story didn't really suffer much, and in the second year, I tried to continue the story in a Part 2 kind of thing. Which suffered mightily, since I had moved a few months prior to NaNo and was still getting used to new schedules and the new place. Last year, I went with an original fantasy fic idea, which upon further reflection, didn't do as well as I thought it would. Oh, I made it past the 50k goal a few days ahead of the deadline, but the story felt like a giant broken record. Both my attempts at finished novels have been placed on the shelf, only to be dragged back out on the muses' whim.

This year, I've returned to fanfic with an idea that's been assuredly over-used, but hopefully not with the same mode of getting from one place and time to another. I've got my characters planned, names and all, and I've got a roughly sketched Prologue written down. The only problem is, I haven't thought of a decent title, but that's almost always the case with me. Hopefully, this story will end at the end of November.

But I'm not holding my breath. ;-)
