Excerpt: Ghost of a Chance
A cover sheet topped the pile, typical stuff that listed her name, her entry date (Emily always thought of it as her deathday) and various other identifying details. The PTB’s official stamp was embossed on the bottom in gold; a strange conglomeration of religous symbols including the cross, star of David, star and crescent, lotus flower, om, the flying spaghetti monster and pink unicorn. Also, strangely, a duck. Emily still hadn’t deciphered that one.
