Synopsis: Back to the Fuchsia
When Evie Winters splits with her husband after four years of marriage, she leaves her high flying job in the City to work part-time in her best friend Maggie's flower shop. To pull her out of her post-break up depression, Maggie and Alfonso, the flamboyant owner of the local delicatessen, drag her to a school disco night, where she meets the young but dashing Ben. After a night of passion Evie awakes to find herself face to face with Ben's furious parents, who inform her that their son was not simply masquerading as a schoolboy, he actually is one. Evie flees, and in the ensuing days finds herself lapsing back into depression again. She decides to escape to Italy for a year to learn Italian and, once there, meets the dashing Alessandro, a businessman who is old enough to be her father, but sweeps her off her feet. They embark on a love affair, but when an associate of Alessandro's dies under suspicious circumstances Evie begins to suspect he is not all that he seems. She enlists the help of his unwitting son Maximo to uncover the truth, but when her feelings for him develop into more than just friendship she really finds herself in hot water. What will Maximo say when he finds out she's been using him to expose his father? And what will Alessandro do when he finds out she's been having an affair with his son? Will he let her go? Or will he refuse to give her up, at any cost? Was this one love affair too far?
