Synopsis: Wrath (working Title until I find someone who knows latin)

Still working on one that won't give away the events of the first book as this is the second in a series.

Excerpt: Wrath (working Title until I find someone who knows latin)

"If you keep this up Petra, you won't have a place anywhere in The Order. That's Metatron's decree not mine." Gabriel sighed.

I rolled my etes slightly. I couldn't help that I hated the shadow. It was far worse than being amidst the Hunters. I was constantly being reminded that I was nothing. Seeing as I still had little control over my abilities I couldn't exactly argue their point. I'd told Gabriel this all time and again. Each and every time he reminded me that keeping me in The Shadow was the only reason that I was still alive.

I had been lured when Gabriel told me what the Shadow was all about. The idea that there was no hierarchy intrigued me. A few days in Krakus, the peer elected leader, informed that I was only there for safe keeping and to try and gain some control over my abilities. It blew the theories I had formed from Gabriel's hype right out of my head. I was in witness protection essentially. I had been less than pleased to find all of that out and Gabriel knew it.

"I hate it here." I said firmly.

I was never one to sit around, and I hated not being in on action. I was bred and raised to hunt demons and fallen, to be forced to sit around doing nothing but study and train was akin to death. Lucia had been right. I was not meant to sit and read books all day.

"You're learning from others like you how to control your powers." Gabriel sounded like he was more trying to convince himself than me.
"Learning? Is that what you call getting beaten to a pulp every other day? I'm a black sheep here."

Gabriel smiled. "You were a black sheep among the Hunters too as I recall."
"It's a destiny I can't escape." I said dryly.

Gabriel chuckled and stood from the stone wall we were sitting on. I hadn't been paying much attention before, but it was a beautiful day outside. There was something in the air that made me feel altogether calm. But there was something off. I didn't have a good feeling and that usually meant that something was going on. My instincts were rarely ever wrong, but I couldn't tell Gabriel that. He almost always dismissed my claims.
