I stick to high fantasy when writing, but read pretty much any sci-fi or fantasy. I have a degree in marine biology, and will hopefully be back in grad school to get my masters when the next academic year starts. I sew a lot, and want to throw my sewing machine out the window only slightly less often than I want to launch my laptop in November. Luckily, sane(ish) friends and reason won out in the end, since I do love my sewing machine and laptop.
I'm routinely told that I'm weird and/or a geek, and I'm pretty sure I'm good with both of these things.
