Author bio:
Welcome to my author page!
I am but a humble NaNoWriMo writer, hoping to succeed each year as I make my way to writing excellent novels that will one day be consumed by thousands of readers. Of course, this is just in theory. In practice, I am just a woman on a mission that includes one day leaving a job I do not like for something more exciting that will inspire even more life experiences that lead to new novels.
So far, I have been doing NaNo consistently since 2008. I lost my first year at somewhere in the 30,000 range. However, I planned like crazy for the second year and made it to 50,000 words on the only novel I have currently finished a first draft of, titled Fire and Ice Bound.
Since 2009, I have completed NaNo twice more on two other novels, both of which remain incomplete. My novel from 2010, written in China while I taught there as an English teacher, was titled In Search of Guanxi, and I'd like to revisit it someday to complete it. My novel from 2011, on the other hand, was a complete mess; intending it to be a sequal to F&IB, I wrote Water Based with virtually no planning... so it will most likely never see the light of day again.
And now I am starting my fifth NaNo with intentions to win yet again and maybe complete a second manuscript. I'm also starting my second year as an ML for the Knoxville, TN region. Here's hoping 2012 will be just as exciting as prior years and lead to yet another win at NaNo!
