Brief Author Bio: A high school student with big dreams and a pen or few in her backpack, the author found this site through a friend on October 31st, 2006. It was her bedtime, but the site intrigued her greatly and she wasn't sure if she could sign up during the actual event, so she snuck online after she turned her lights off and got onboard. She's had a little trouble writing lately, going through a major academic, emotional, and creative hurricane, but she hopes to someday conquer NaNoWriMo as proof, mostly to herself, that she CAN write a novel. |

Synopsis: Gears and Geraniums
In a steampunk world sprawling with technology, life has distanced itself from the traditional animal roots of humankind. In fact, it has virtually rejected this heritage - nature is almost scorned, subdued mercilessly by the lofty hand of man. While the thirst to explore and conquer consumes the monarchs of this expanding land, it is destined for a young girl to see through the smoke-and-mirrors that are the wonders of technology, and begin a journey to bring the world - and herself - back into balance.
