Synopsis: Forever Child

Kit Harper has failed. A groundhog, dreaming of the stars, she's spent her life trying to get into the Interstellar trading company's elite force of jump-ship pilots known as the forever children.

Must she resign herself to a life-time of drudgery on the soul-less cargo-liners; crawling through space at normal-time while her soulmate Lorcan jumps instantly through space, leaving her to age in time while he stays forever young?

But now Lorcan has gone missing, along with his expensive jump-ship; and if the rumours are true, he's not the only one. Nobody seems to care - the trading company is too busy fighting an influx of sabotage to investigate, so she becomes desperate enough to try anything.

At a time when the echoes of strange music waft back to Earth from deepest space, Kit will find any means necessary to return to the one planet that seems to hold the answers... the one place she least wants to see again: home.
