Rapture

1

I can’t remember the last time he spoke to me. It had been so long ago that I had forgotten that he ever spoke to me. I had forgotten who I was what I was and I liked it that way. The last time I heard from him I was somewhere in France. I can’t even remember where now. It doesn’t matter. I don’t really remember being in France for that matter, only the was the fetid water smelled close to the backed up sewers, the way the women smelled at certain times of the days. Those were lost years. Who am I kidding? They were all lost years and now there were thousands of them. Well maybe not thousands, but who’s going to quibble a few hundred here a few hundred there.
