Synopsis: Sunflower
Current Story Artwork:
A Little Night Music by Dorothea Tanning
Excerpt: Sunflower
Slowly Kissia realized that the movement she was seeing in the flowers was not wind. Here and there, the giant sunflowers were turning to face her. They twisted on their stalks, leaves treading air as she might tread water, their faces bent back, bent up to look at her, the liquid in their centers thickening, darkening. When the flowers closest to her reached out with their leaves, with their petals, Kissia screamed and fell back.
